Maintenance Assistant

This position requires someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors and takes pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable living environment.

Daily responsibilities include:

• performing general maintenance such as replacing light bulbs,
• handling minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, trash services, and appliance repairs,
• all completed in a safe, workmanlike manner that never compromises resident safety.
• The role also involves keeping all tools and equipment clean and in proper working order,
• preparing apartments for new occupants through painting and general maintenance,
• maintaining an orderly maintenance shop.
• Additional duties include shampooing carpets as requested,
• responding to emergencies during off‑hours, and following company guidelines for preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensuring resident satisfaction is essential, which means completing all maintenance requests and non‑maintenance services—such as installing bookshelves, window treatments, or fixtures—in a timely manner.
