Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, culinary arts, and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing and serving meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. The Cook will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while maintaining high-quality food presentation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications, including meal planning and portioning
• Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating for various dining settings, including fine dining and catering events
• Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Serve food to guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation
• Assist with menu development and ingredient sourcing as needed
• Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times
• Contribute to inventory management and stock rotation

Experience

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred
• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within restaurants or catering environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining standards, and culinary techniques such as knife skills is advantageous
• Background in the food industry or kitchen experience demonstrating knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial
• Experience with meal preparation, serving, or catering roles will be considered an asset
